It has been seven months since the last update.
Suddenly realized that the domain name may expire, and then found out that it was renewed in February this year.
Now thinking about it, these few months seem to have been busy but accomplished nothing.
I should update some tutorials irregularly in the future.
So what have I done? Let's talk about some major events.
January#
Got a Hong Kong SIM card, but...#
Originally wanted to use it for buying US stocks...
The first time I went, I used a bank statement printed from the China Merchants Bank VTM as proof of address, but I didn't realize that the bank statement printed from the VTM didn't have a bank logo. As a result, I was rejected because I didn't have a valid proof of address.
It cost me more than 46 yuan to travel from Luohu to (I forgot where)... (If I wanted to save money, I should have taken a bus to Shenzhen Bay. It only cost me more than 11 yuan to get to Tuen Mun.)
Since I didn't accomplish anything, I went to get a Worldcoin (now Hong Kong can no longer authenticate).
Key point: It's better to directly ask customer service for a credit card paper statement to avoid problems.
Stayed in Shenzhen for a while and bought an iPhone 15 (highlight, will be used later).
The second time, I successfully opened HSBC+BOC HK.
As long as the reasons and materials are sufficient, you won't be rejected (if you need, you can comment and I can update the complete tutorial).
Then I applied for an HSBC Mastercard when I got home and found out that it couldn't be delivered by regular mail.
Cross-border remittance is a big problem (should have saved more money).
In the end, I could only use the iPhone 15 Apple Wallet to open an Octopus card and then refund it to the card.
Securities trading requires proof of stock ownership.

First encounter with NightCrows#
There was still a lot of free time in college, so when I was bored and browsing QooApp, I accidentally discovered NightCrows, this blockchain game blockchain legend

Added on 2024/08/24: Wow, the price of the in-game virtual currency has been continuously plummeting. No one is willing to buy a level 55 gold weapon or a gold mount for 300 yuan. This is just a flea market game.

Disastrous Wemix#
Because NightCrows changed the rules and gas fees were self-paid, I bought 50 Wemix at $1.04, but it plummeted to $0.72 in less than a week, so I sold a bunch of promising coins (CFX, Kaspa, XMR). I quickly placed an order for 200 Wemix at $0.75, and... I suffered heavy losses.
The reason is that the official directly changed it to a virtual currency with no limit and no destruction.
Kaspa, CFX, and XMR have gone back up, but Wemix probably won't recover.
Getting into PT again#
After niconico was hacked and the community was gone, I no longer had the chance to do archaeology. (Procrastination is harmful.)
I felt that it was safer to keep the data in my own hands.
Bought some servers and dismantled them to back up the files on the cloud drive.
Found out that the mini host machines from before couldn't start up anymore. It seems that the MSATA drive died.
Replaced it with a new drive and brushed up on PT's beginner tasks.
Since it's directly installed in the host machine now, it used to be external 2.5-inch drives, and using a 3.5-inch external drive was too troublesome because it required additional power. But now, with it inside, it feels like this machine is about to ignite.
